It all started when…

Mark was rodeoing professionally in the PRCA when he and his traveling partners found themselves engaged in a lively and insightful conversation about their brands and the ranches that they each owned. During this discussion, Mark made the candid comment that the only way he would ever be able to secure ownership of cattle and a ranch of his own would be if he won 'em. From that pivotal moment, the concept of the 1M brand was born. The 1M stands for 'Won 'em' Ranch, a fitting tribute to his journey. Now, with a thriving herd of 150 head of cows, over 400 acres of prime grazing land, and 13 well-bred Quarter Horses, Mark and his wife, Jennifer, have created the ranch they always dreamed of having together.

At 1M Ranch, we are dedicated to providing quality Quarter Horses that are bred and raised right here on our beautiful central Kansas ranch. Our operation includes a cow-calf system that not only supports our cattle but also allows us to regularly utilize and work with our horses on a daily basis throughout the ranch. Our horses are known for their versatility, good temperament, and striking color as well. While our focus is primarily on cow-bred horses, we have also incorporated some running bloodlines, including notable names like Bully Bullion and Dash for Cash. Our aim is to offer horses to the public that are specifically bred to present opportunities for success across various western disciplines. Moreover, our smaller herd size enables us to concentrate on the quality of our breeding program, ensuring we can better serve our ever-growing customer base with exceptional equine partners.
